Dressed up in blue........

Dressed up for church.
This is the first time the boys have been in
matching shirts. It's fun to dress them alike once
in a while!

I love matching outfits! (As if you didn't know that. :-) I think it looks so harmonious. At this point in their lives, my boys love to match, so all is going well.
Now, if you would just give Michael a pacifier. Ha.

I love to dress Khara, and Kelsey alike also. If you find one outfit you like, might as well grab two. I do kind of pity the younger child who has to wear their own outfit and then "grows into" the next size. :-)

Cute picture!!

Dressing my boys alike is the best time-saver I have! It's easy as can be, and provides the coordinated look that every mother desperately wants to embrace. :) On the other hand, have you ever seen the family who has three or four kids and one boy gets to wear a suit while another has to settle for faded out khakis and a crumpled looking button-up shirt? Ugh! Or you see the little girl who is dressed to the nines in a frilly little pink "formal" while her brother trots around in tennis shoes (untied) that have already been through two siblings, a too-small tee shirt, and grubby pants? Sorry for rambling, but it always makes me feel so bad for the underdog! I don't know how long I will get by with the matching thing, though, because Evan's statement the other day went something like this:
"I don't like looking like HIM all the time!" So, for Easter, I'm not making them match - totally - but we'll try to stay coordinated! Glad you guys had fun at the parade! We have our first one in May, and it is a highlight!

Wow! Sorry about the essay! They should leave the option of shrinking the font!

Very cute outfits. Dress them alike while they will allow you. I'm sure Chris can tell you about all the times he and Craig had to. :)

As you know, I love to dress my kids alike. This year I gave the girls (11 and almost 9),the option of dressing alike or different this year for Easter. They picked to be different. I guess its time for them to express thier own personalities. Jana I have also been thinking about my younger daughter who keeps growing into her older sisters clothes just like the one she grew out of. I try to make sure she has plenty of things that are her own look.

Stephanie, your comments crack me up! That is so hilarious...you must have been to some of the same campmeetings I have. Usually, they all come spilling out of a rattle-trap van besides....I'm still laughing! Actually, I don't think our boys will have to endure too much of this. Chris has too many memories of dressing like his brother one too many times, so he's not real crazy about me doing this much. Funny thing about hand-me-downs is the fact that kids personalities are so different. I saved some adorable outfits from Michael that I was sure I'd wear again on another boy. Funny thing is, what looked cute on quiet, shy, blond Michael, looks altogether different on outgoing, here-comes-trouble, brown-haired Caleb.Oh well, I still have to pass them down sometimes to save money....

Mine matched this year too and Gene and I just coordinated. I'm having trouble uploading pics since the switch to DSL, though!

You're kids are adorable!

Leah is a pastor's wife and they are pastoring a small church in KS. She keeps busy with teaching and giving piano lessons. I will tell her about your blog.

Nancy, you do such a great job of dressing your kids. As you know, I am at a loss to know how to dress a boy. It is so hard to find boy's dress cloths that are equally as nice as my girls dresses. I'm not ready to try the suit and tie look on my 6 month old. I was so fortunate to find a Petite Ami outfit that worked great for Easter. Are there any other brands that you could recommend that would be similar? I'm going to try looking on E-bay.

Well, Becky, I hate to tell you that it really IS hard to find really cute boys outfits. It's a lot easier in the baby sizes, but when they get into 3T and 4T...ugh. Anyway, I shop upscale consignment stores alot...like Snooty Fox. I also check Ebay if I HAVE to have something really nice for an event. Carriage Boutique, Petit Ami, and House of Hatten are all good brands to search for. Being a lover of smocked outfits, I just search "smocking" on Ebay in the boys section. You also wouldn't believe what I've found at Goodwill too. I also am a big garage sale shopper...you can find things there sometimes. I hope this helps....I get very frustrated with Dillards, Macy's etc. They have little to offer for boys Michaels' age. I guess most people think if they put their boys in a polo shirt and khakis, then they are really dressing up...ugh!!! Just had to get that pet peeve out of the way!!! lol! Have a good day!

Becky, I need to clarify something....just so nobody takes my pet peeve wrong. There's nothing wrong with dressing your boys in polo shirts and khakis, but the frustration is when we have a nice event like a wedding, Easter, Christmas, etc., and all you can find at the stores are polo shirts and khakis. Just thought I should clarify.....
