Happy Thursday

Just thought I'd share this website that Chris brought to my attention this morning. He knows of my fascination with big families, multiples and such. After looking through this site , I decided to share it with the rest of you. It was thrilling to see such a lovely Christian family out there getting some media attention. I LOVE their house, but I was most intrigued by the orchestra....wouldn't THAT be fun? If you click on the "photos", they have lots of pictures of their house. I love the laundry system...keeping all the clothes in one place and cutting down on clutter in the bedrooms.
I might have to file that away for future reference! :)

I really should be catching you up on all that has been going on in our lives, but it's like my scrap booking....I'm so far behind that I'm procrastinating. (and yes, getting even farther behind...sigh) Anyway, I really am busy this weekend. I participate in a HUGE consignment sale at the Mason United Methodist Church. I've been doing this ever since Lauren was about 2yrs. It was become a "twice-yearly event". Once in the spring and then again in the fall. This is where I get over half my kids clothes and get rid of all the things they are finished with. I also buy WAY too many toys and books and games as well.....right Chris? Anyway, it's become such an event that Chris even takes off from work the day that I volunteer and help with organizing the sale. My van will be LOADED tonight and yes, much to Chris' dismay, it will be LOADED upon my return. The payoff is the check I'll receive in a couple weeks for all the things I sold. Lots of fun.
And if anyone is interested....

The Sale happens this coming Saturday from 8 - 12. Getting there at 7:30 is probably not a bad idea. It happens at 6215 S. Mason-Montgomery Rd.

They have sizes newborn to 16. There are always lots of clothes, toys, strollers, car seats, and furniture items...all in gently used condition. If you have questions, you can call 398-4741.
I'll be busy, so go ahead and have a good weekend.

Nancy- I thought about you when I wrote the post. I cannot wait to read your news one day. Pray believing it will happen!
Remember it has been 3 1/2 years for me to get to 55. Hang in there, sister! :-)

I can NOT even to imagine the money these people have to own a home like that.

We have heard of this family before, and then one day a lady in Sams told Tim that we remminded her of this family!! Ugh! 5 is a long way from 17.
I do LOVE the house though.

P.S The sonic is off of 75 south the Mt. Zion exit. I think it is two exits past Mall rd in florence.

I have heard of the Duggar family. I really enjoy reading about them. Could you imagine how different American culture would be if more Christians had families this size?! What an impact!
Hope you had fun at the sale. I really enjoyed going there. I was very happy to find one here in the South, but it wasn't as huge.:-(

I've watched specials on this family before. They are fascinating. I couldn't imagine coming up with that many names, and they all begin with a "j".

That family is very interesting. It is nice to see such a conservative family getting media attention! Our pastor saw them at a homeschool conference several months ago. That was the first I had heard of them, right before the baby was born.

You finally discovered the Duggers! My aunt and uncle gave us the 2-dvd set that the Discovery Channel did on them. It seems like about 4 hours worth of their life, beginning in the 1400 sq. ft. house where they had 14 of their kids. Talk about cramped! They had some money, but when they were building the house their popularity got them LOADS of handouts. Lots of nice things for the house! They were recently on TV again (in the last couple of weeks) after the birth of, I believe #18, this summer. My kids LOVE the Duggers, and that is where they've learned all about being "pwegnut", etc. It's hilarious!

Oops, I was wrong, it was #17. Anyway, I am so bummed to miss the sale! We are coming down for Homecoming this weekend, but it looks like the sale was last Saturday, right? I'll have to remember it for next year!

I would have made a trip out there Saturday if I had know about that. I work right on Mason. Yes, maybe next year.

I would love to go to this sale! Sounds great, if you would just give me a reminder a couple of weeks in advance next year maybe I can remember to come. ;-) My memory is bad!! On Sun. Kristin Paulus said "See ya on Tues. night." I said, "What' Tues. night?" She said, "ONly YOUR son's 1st b-day party!" :-/
